PPP: Welcome to Hundred Aker Wood

Directed by Sandy Slayton, this camp is designed for children aged 7-14.  WInnie-the-Pooh is dramatized by Kristin Sergel from the stories of A. A. Milne, through Dramatic Publishing Company. Registants will be sent a link to a registration form and will be given detailed information about auditions by email.

Winnie-the-Pooh, Christopher Robin's much loved bear, and his friends Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Owl have heard a rumor that a strange and fierce animal is coming to the Hundred Aker Wood. And that's not all: she's bringing SOAP and a BATHTUB and STRENGTHENING MEDICINE! While Pooh is distracted by the sound of bees and thus the promise of honey, Piglet meets Kanga and her little Roo. Will poor Piglet be forced into cleanliness, or will Pooh and friends be able to save him from Kanga's bubbly plan?

Camp will be held on stage at the Prizery from 8:30-2:30 Monday-Friday, culminating with a performance of the full length play Winnie The Pooh on Friday night. How in the world will we do this?  We'll hold auditions and assign parts in mid-June, and everyone will have a full script weeks before camp.  The play will be divided into manageable sections, with a different cast for each section. Hopefully, actors will be familiar with their parts on Day 1 of camp. We'll dedicate a big part of our day to rehearsing in cast groups (and running the show later in the week), but we'll also play theatre games, design and practice face painting to fit our characters, construct and paint a simple set, and have lots of fun. Participants will need to bring lunch each day.
